How do you make barista jam?

I don't know, but Sunday is the day to find out.

Thanks to Emanuale of Ristretto for the postery goodness.

This looks cool, but I have no skills to want people to taste the coffee I make :)

Hopefully people can rock up from the street and say hi and join in in whatever way ?

Woo yeah I saw the poster at Ristretto on Tuesday -- what a fab logo! Mad props to whoever designed that!

I just have to say this was very, very cool and everyone was amazingly friendly and co-operative. I was supposed to meet a friend there, but he bailed (his loss!) and so I was in there on my own and a bit afraid to have a go on the pro machinery. One of the guys spotted me, had a chat, and showed me how to use the machines and next thing I'm making a couple of coffees and loving every minute of it. The time flew..

As a home enthusiast this was absolutely very cool to go to and gave me even more respect for the people that serve me coffee wherever I go :)

I had to leave part way through the latte art comp, but I did get to see some pretty speccy pours before I left :)

As Aaron said above it was an amazing afternoon, when I arrived Jen greeted me and showing me around and made me feel welcome.
The who's who of the Perth specialty coffee scene were there and generously shared their knowledge with me, the latte art shootout was entertaining and congrats to Jaxon from Tiger Tiger for winning the Sunbean goodies.
Thanks to the Barista Academy for a wonderful event.............Trevor
